Thermally broken steel
Thermally broken steel is a steel window or door profile with a built-in insulating barrier, so it keeps slim lines and better efficiency.
Steel gives the thinnest frames and the most strength. On its own it conducts heat. A thermally broken profile adds an insulating barrier between the inner and outer steel. You keep the slim sightline and gain real insulation.
Our partner Jada builds its steel line this way. It says its swing products use narrow sightline Secco OS2 thermally broken steel profiles, and that the two halves are joined with a pressure infused polyurethane thermal barrier.
