# Corner window

A corner window joins two glass units at a corner with no post, so the view wraps around the room.

Two panes meet at a right angle. The joint is often a slim butt joint or a minimal corner post. The effect is a window that seems to wrap the corner of the house.

This look depends on a slim frame. Steel offers the narrowest profile, which is why corner windows pair well with [thermally broken steel](https://honeyrock.multisites.ai/glossary/thermally-broken-steel). The corner has to carry its own load, so structural planning comes first. Ask your architect early. See our [steel windows and doors](https://honeyrock.multisites.ai/steel-windows-and-doors) and [fixed windows](https://honeyrock.multisites.ai/glossary/fixed-window). Ask the maker whether the joint is rated and sealed for your wall.
